About Me
Originally from New York City, I moved to Edinburgh after University for a one-year teaching contract and quickly fell in love with the city and its pace of life. 10 years later, Edinburgh has become home.
My career began in education, teaching psychology and contemporary American studies to S6 pupils at a local Edinburgh school before working in student recruitment for a Madrid-based business school. Working with people in these roles inspired me to train as a therapist and expand upon my academic background in psychology.
I pursued my Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of Edinburgh, conducting research on performance anxiety and competitiveness in university-based counselling training programmes.
When I am not working, you might find me watching or playing tennis, rug hooking or reading at a local cafe with an oat latte in hand.
